Daphne, your post really struck a chord with me. Gave birth to my baby at around the same time as your girl and will be heading back to work soon. Baby will be with my parents in the day. I feel so terrible about this arrangement yet I dont really have a choice. That's why I commented in an earlier post that you probably have the best job in the world! I wish I have the guts (and luxury of course) to just 'do it'.

Jacqueline, saw your comments and blog link above. Small small world indeed. I love reading your posts too! Was asking you abt breastfeeding on demanding a while back, when I just gave birth ;p

Hey! I discovered your blog through metrodad's blog! (small world eh?) loved reading your entries and this one has struck really close to home! Unfortunately, i have not had the luxury (or not!) of choosing the SAHM path, but luckily, i hope my 2 little ones still have a chance to giggle themselves silly everyday while they're at my parents.... My only concession is that i have a very flexible workday, so hopefully it's the best of both worlds? Thanks for all your thoughts..... :)

I only appreciate being an SAHM after going back for a brief 2-week freelance work... everything falls behind when mummy's not at home and the babes are being taken care by other people. I realised i HAVE to BE THERE to know what they are eating, how they are behaving etc etc. Maids/infantcare/stand-in nannies just aren't the same...(unless when they are older like 18mths to qualify for playgroup perhaps)
