Finn

Sleep training according to Finn

I’m starting to think that baby Finn was born with a special power that makes him immune to sleep training.

Over the past nine months, I’ve attempted to sleep train him several times and after a day or 2 into the process, he’ll come down with a mysterious illness, usually involving a high fever. It’s like he can fall ill at will whenever he’s left alone in his cot.

It’s a remarkable talent.

On the off chance that he doesn’t come down with the flu, or have diarrhea, or vomit, or develop a weird rash during sleep training, he thinks it’s a huge joke and makes a complete farce out of my attempts.

This is his idea of sleep training.

pwetty please

gotcha

seriously i can do this all day

sleep?

After an hour of this, he starts to get tired and he’ll muster his most mournful, heart-melting look while clambering in the general direction of my boobs. I used to have more willpower than this but he looks so longingly at my boobs that I can’t help but cave and offer it to him.

deal?

The moment he latches on, he’ll immediately close his eyes and fall asleep with a look of absolute bliss.

So much for sleep training. I think breastfeeding has ruined me.

Haha…if it makes you feel any better, I am in the same position as you! My 11 mth old boy only sleeps if he gets my boobs….I am not sure if Baby Finn sleeps through the night. Mine don’t. He still wakes up at least twice every night and demanding the human pacifier before he falls back to sleep. I have totally given up! To preserve my sleep, I now co-sleep with him so that I breastfeed him and get to sleep at the same time. :P

I’m terrible at co-sleeping and it usually ends up with neither of us getting proper sleep. I shall persevere on with the sleep training!!

DD does the same. Everytime we attempt to sleep train, she would magically fall ill on the 2nd or 3rd day. *pat pat*

Irrelevant to the topic, Finn has mighty fab hair! :)

LOL this is completely relevant. I think the fab hair helps him to get away with all his antics. Every time I look at his awesome hair, I’m like “ok fine, you win.”
