Remember that it is easier to apologize from the position of being right than from the position of being wrong. The person who is in the wrong KNOWS they were wrong. They are embarrassed about it. They don't want to admit they were wrong so that you can throw it in their face during every fight for the next 50 years. SO, just say sorry. It only takes a moment and it shows your partner how much you really, truly love them. My Daddy was awesome. He died young at 92. He was married to my Mom for about 48 of those 92 years. So, he knew a lot about keeping marriage alive. He outlived her for 9 years before he went to join her. My Daddy explained it to me this way:
